This was a good trip and a must for any Sopranos fan. The tour guide made the 4 hours pass by very quickly with plenty of trivia and explanations along the way. I also enjoyed seeing footage on the bus of places we had just recently passed, since many of the spots were obscure or missed when watching the show regularly. Great tour. |

I would recommend this tour to anyone. From start to finish I enjoyed every moment. We got to meet Vito which was an added bonus, and also took pictures with him. Marc the tour guide was brilliant. He knows so much stuff about the show. He had some cameo roles in the Sopranos as well. Went to a lot of the locations where the programme is filmed. The canolis tasted great. All in all 10/10 for this tour. Would definately go again when back in New York. |

The Sopranos Tour is an enjoyable afternoon and is very much enhanced by the Tour guide, Marc Baron, who has appeared as an extra/stand in on the Sopranos. He keeps the pace of the tour ticking along nicely by filling in with interesting facts/trivia about the show whilst, also, throwing out questions with spot prizes. We also got to meet Joe Gannascoli (Vito) who was selling pictures, T shirts and his new novel by where the tour started. I read another reviewer who thought this was a bit tacky but this is showbiz business and what you have to expect. Besides, Joe was very friendly and happily posed smiling for photographs (even when I walked off accidently without paying him!!) Along the tour you get to see the familiar landmarks made famous by the opening credits and other places of note used in the show. You also get to stop and enjoy a Cannelloni courtesy of the tour which I thought was a nice touch. After the sights you are taken to the Bing (or Sating Dolls as it is really known) and get to visit inside for around 20 mins. Whilst it is not the Tours fault you are not allowed to photograph inside the Bing which, I presume, is to protect the privacy of the clientele. This is the only thing about the tour I would try to alter as the Bing is such an icon of the show that the rather drab exterior shots don't really do this section justice. Just a thought, anyway. (A strange fact of the Bing is that the dancers don't go topless? Apparently in NJ its not possible if you have a liqueur licence to have nude dancers - it's one or the other - so the girls don't cover up for the tour as was suggested in a previous review) All in all this is a recommended tour for fans of the show and should not be missed if you happen to be in the area. |

Tour guide hugely knowledgable and full of interesting trivia - he made the tour! Some sites were more interesting than other but I enjoyed seeing New Jersey for the first time. If you're thinking of trying to win prizes for the trivia quiz I'd suggest you get studying...the standard was extremely high. |

This is a fact filled and very informative tour. We were lucky to get to meet one of the cast members when we arrived at the pick up spot, which was a buzzz!
The host is very warm and friendly with a great sense of fun.
Only critism is we could have used an extra pit stop...maybe at the diner where Christopha got shot...!! Four and a half hours was a long time to wait for a quick drink at The Bada Bing....but worth it!!

Not what was expected at all. Bus was 1/2 hr late to start with weather well below zero and we were just standing about waiting for it to turn up. when it did show even though we were first to arrive at meeting point we were actually last on bus and only seats left were next to toilet - which smelt horrendous and we had 4hrs of this. toilets had no running water - thankyou to girl in front who had come prepared with babywipes to wipe hands!!! Bus seats were tatty to say the least. The tour guide was boring and basically was an 'hasbeen - wannabee again'. What he'd played as an xtra and what celebs he knows was about all he could talk about. The most annoying part of the tour was when he practically pulled each episode of the sopranos to bits by constantly talking about 'bloopers'. Does he not have a life? and does it really matter that a certain scene was filmed in NY and not New Jersey or the jail in the background shot was passed on the wrong side- I think not. This is a bloody good series we watch but it is not reality - get over it and take it for what it is A TV SERIES. Pointing out these bloopers is just pointless and a waste of time and has ruined parts of the programme, if I was that bothered about finding errors I could sit up all night and watch reruns over and over again-its not clever its bloody mindedness. Photos of scenes - forget it bus slows down for shots thro window but if you are sat at back - no chance- driver pulls up just for those at front - by the time the rear of the bus passes he puts his foot down and all you get is a wobbly pic!! Bada Bing forget it it is actually a working strip bar called satin dolls - no photos allowed but they will sell sopranos souvenirs out of a cupboard in a dingy office which incidentally can all be bought cheaper in little Italy!!
Tour guide apparently appeared in 1st episode of 1st series but got shot - does that not tell you something - if he were any good he'd still be in it - but he ain't - they had him shot for a reason!!
Because we left late we arrived back late and missed our booking in restaurant for dinner and had to reschedule for next evening.
Either everyone who has rated this tour with 5 stars were on a different tour to me or they have been financially rewarded (bribed).

We recently took the Soprano's tour over President's Day weekend. It was, without a
doubt, worth every cent!!. Our tour guide was awesome. He gave us so much
information about the actors, the show, the shooting sites, New York and New Jersey. If you are a SOPRANO LOVER .........this is a must when you visit New York City.
