The tour was dope, GM CAZ has alot of charizma and will keep you focused. Most of the stuff he said I already knew but even so was still cool just to listen to him. I hoped to be taken to see more graf sites and more points of interest, but all good never the less. P.S: the soul food restaurant that you get taken to is tasty S*?T!!!!!
Respect to the organisers and GM CAZ |

My husband, son and I all had a wonderful time on the hip hop tour. We all found it very educational and entertaining. My son is an aspiring rapper so he especially enjoyed it.
I would recommend the tour to anyone who has an interest in music and it's history!

Hi
I'd just like to thank the tour organisers and our guide for the day, Kurtis Blow! Due to the snow tour was delayed( understandable) but was well worth the wait for a very personal tour through hip hop culture from its humble beginnings.. great to get stories from one who was there 1st hand .. funny witty and very educational. You could tell all who are involved in the tour have put their heart and soul into the project. Very good that they keep it to small numbers ( 12 on my tour) - making it a very personal touch.
tour was ended by Kurtis freestyling on the coach back to manhattan... awesome. Was my 1st time in New York and this was definitely the highlight for me.. Recommend this to anyone who likes to delve into music culture and, anyone who just wants a tour a little bit different to the normal tourist trips! Well done one and all for a briliant tour - damn sure i will do it again on my return ---- Keep the vibe alive, peace

the only thing better about learning hip hop history is being taken on a tour of the people who created it. |

Thanks, Caz! |

I grew up in FL in a town that was almost 50% NYC transplants. My friends were almost entirely Inner City NY B-Boys. At 17 I finally made the journey to "mecca" aka NYC. I was able to see the borroughs that my crew crew up in. Brooklyn, Bronx, and Uptown.
After high school I did whatever I could to move to the city. It was a great experience. I grew up as a hip hop head and loved every bit of it. It seemed that after high school however, hip hop became too "Gangster". All the artists would talk about was who had the best cars, gear, and who could shoot the best. Hip hop had become too commercial for it's own good. I started to lose interest. For a long time, all I simply lived in the past playing all my old tracks.
The tour was very informative, it was cool to meet Reggie Reg and get first hand knowledge of the origins of hip hop. Reg was passsionate about the culture and was eager to share it with everyone.
I would reccomend this tour to all my old school crew. We grew up reading the source and rap pages and we had a lot of knowledge but no one can pull it all together like the crew that was there.
thanks!

It was such a good day out. Plenty of information about everything hip hop delivered in a fun way. Reggie is really passionate about everything hip hop and this rubs off on the people on the tour. Lots of opportunities to ask questions and chat
There are also some fun surprises and I had a briliiant time even though I went on my own as my friends felt it was too 'hip hop' for them. They were wrong even if like Hip Hop but are not that knowledgeable about it you will still have a great time.

The tour was fun and insightful...a little long, but fun nonetheless...Manna's Soul Food was dope, excellent food for sure...I learned a lot about Hip-Hop history, and it was fun listening to some of the first songs ever recorded in the name of Hip-Hop...good job, and I appreciate it.
Have more cd's for sale next time, and it'd be a perfect tour!
